Learn To Skate is the beginner program for a new skater. It is designed to teach boys and girls ages four to ten years old the basics of skating. Once the 4 on ice sessions have been completed, the Learn To Skate beginner will be able to transition into the In House I program.
Registration will be held for the LEARN TO SKATE PROGRAMS at the South Windsor Arena, 585 John Fitch Blvd(Route 5) as follows:
First session registration held on September 29th 2010 5:30-7:30 pm
Second session registration held on October 25th 2010 5:30-7:30 pm
At the registration, your child will receive hockey skates, a helmet with face mask and gloves. Certified Coaches and Trained SW Arena Staff will properly fit all equipment. A Welcome Packet will be provided to each participant at registration identifying the format of the program which will include:

History of South Windsor Youth Hockey Association;

Explanation of what can be expected from the program;

How participants should be dressed;
-
Photographs with Parents/participants in hockey gear;
-
Meet Sonar, Hartford Wolfpack’s Mascot;
-
Achievement Certificates for all participants; and
-
How participants advance with hockey after Learn to Skate.
The cost of the program is $99.00. If the skater continues into the SW In-House program, they keep the equipment as a free starter kit. Otherwise, the equipment can be returned and $50 will be refunded per participant.
If the skater provides there own equipment, the cost is $50.00. Helmets must be certified hockey helmets.

October 29th, November 5th, 12th & 19th
